About this piece

Pittsburgh Railways Company "Giddap and Go" promotional brochure introducing the new streamlined streetcars. The cover contrasts an old horse car with a red-and-cream streamlined trolley signed for route 69 Squirrel Hill. Inside, the history of Pittsburgh transit runs "From 1859 to 1937" — horse cars, cable cars and electric trolleys — ending with the new style of streamlined riding comfort. The back panel gives the company's street railway information service. About 3.5 x 8.1 inches folded. Used, with light toning, small creases and minor edge wear.

Illustrated throughout with period sketches of 1859 and 1937 riders. A nice piece for Pittsburgh history, streetcar and railroadiana collectors.
