Wireco Life, the employee magazine of the American Steel & Wire Co., Pittsburgh, September 1941, Vol. V, No. 9. The masthead shows the mill in rope-twisted lettering, and the cover photo shows a worker handling slabs of zinc stamped DONORA at the furnaces. About 8.5 x 11 inches. Toning, light wear and small spots.

The back cover (page 16) is a striking pre-Pearl Harbor defense illustration signed Ralph Iligan: a steelworker in a helmet sounds a bugle before a 48-star flag and smoking mills, captioned "The Call to Defense is a Call to Us All."

Great for steel-industry, Donora and Monongahela Valley history, and home-front WWII collectors.
