About this piece
Lot of 2 vintage chrome postcards of the 4-H Memorial Center at Monticello, Illinois, both published by Koppel Color Card of Hawthorne, N.J. Standard size, about 3.5 x 5.5 inches. Both cards are unposted with clean, unwritten backs; light edge and corner wear and some faint spotting on the backs, as shown in the photos.
• Dining Hall, 4-H Memorial Center, Monticello, Illinois (Koppel 3078) - the long two-story hall with its covered porch, the American flag flying out front and people strolling along the walk. Light corner wear and a few faint spots on the back.
• Swimming, 4-H Memorial Center, Monticello, Illinois (Koppel 3184) - a crowd of swimmers in caps along the dock and swim lines at the lake, with rowboats and canoes out on the water and a sandy beach in the foreground. Light corner wear; a small faint mark on the back.
A nice pair for collectors of Illinois towns, Piatt County, 4-H and youth camp history, or mid-century summer camp scenes. Please see all photos for the fronts and backs of both cards.
