About this piece

Antique divided-back postcard titled Ivy Arch, Delaware Ave. Buffalo, N.Y., a sepia-toned view of a stone arch completely covered in ivy, with a drive passing through it and shrubbery on either side. Ullman's Photo Carbon Series, American Post Card-View Number 3030, published by The Ullman Manufacturing Co., New York. Standard size, about 3.5 x 5.5 inches. Postally used with an ink message; light corner wear, a small bump at the lower left corner and light toning.

Posted at Buffalo, N.Y. on August 10, 1910, with a green 1c Franklin stamp and machine cancel. Addressed to Miss Marie Wallin, Lincoln, Ill., in care of Dr. Wallin.

The message, dated Buffalo 8-9-1910 and signed Frances, tells her friend Marie they are on their way home from Niagara Falls and having a fine trip.

A nice early Buffalo view with a Niagara Falls travel note, for New York and Buffalo collectors.
