About this piece

A lot of 2 unposted linen postcards about Abraham Lincoln. One is The Earthly Pilgrimage of Abraham Lincoln, From Log Cabin to the White House (K52), a map-style view of his homes from Hodgenville, Ky. to the White House, by E.C. Kropp Co., Milwaukee, copyright 1924-1929 by Jesse C. Shull. The other is Interior, Berry-Lincoln Store, New Salem State Park, Lincoln's New Salem, Ill., a Curt Teich C.T. Art-Colortone card published by Ira E. Owen, The Wagon Wheel Inn, Petersburg, Ill. Both are unposted with light edge and corner wear; the Kropp card has a pencil number 50 written twice on the back.

Cards in the lot:
• The Earthly Pilgrimage of Abraham Lincoln, From Log Cabin to the White House, K52 (E.C. Kropp Co., 29777). A numbered key lists seven sites, from his Kentucky birthplace to his monument at Oak Ridge Cemetery, Springfield, Ill.
• Interior, Berry-Lincoln Store, New Salem State Park (Curt Teich code 0B-H1907). The back gives a history of the store where Lincoln served part of his postmastership.

A good pair for Lincoln and Illinois history collectors.
