About this piece

Monthly, Term and Annual Report of Leland Fitzgerald, a pupil of Wilson School, Grade 7, for the 1934-1935 school year, teacher Marybelle Sinnamon. A folded report card with its matching printed envelope, both from J. B. Kennerdell's School Supply House, Kittanning, Pa. (Form 29). The envelope measures about 7.1 x 4 inches. Condition: toning, light soiling and spotting, edge wear and soft folds; handwritten grades and signatures as issued.

Inside are monthly and exam grades in Deportment, Reading, Penmanship, Spelling, Arithmetic, Geography, English, History, Health and Civics, with some failing marks in red, 160 days present, a teacher's handwritten grade scale beside the printed one, and the teacher's signature.

The parent signed for October through January as Zella M. Fitzgerald. The back notes Especially Good in Reading, Especially Poor in Arithmetic and Health, and a Certificate of Promotion to 8th Grade signed by Mrs. Sinnamon.

A complete little 1930s school record for genealogy or Pennsylvania school-paper collectors.
