About this piece

A vintage officers' club style dinner menu from the Greater Pittsburgh International Airport Consolidated Open Mess, with a gold cover printed with the Air Force Reserve shield at upper left and the 911 Tactical Airlift Gp., Pittsburgh, Pa. shield at lower right, housed in its black padded vinyl menu holder. About 9.5 x 12.6 inches. Condition: cover has light scuffs, a couple of small spots and minor edge wear; the holder shows normal handling wear.

Inside, the two-page spread lists a salad bar, wines (Paul Masson, Black Tower Liebfraumilch, Great Western Brut Champagne and more), desserts from a rolling dessert cart, cafe service, and Club Entrees from New York strip and filet mignon with Béarnaise to broiled South African lobster tails, veal Parmesan and baked flounder stuffed with crabmeat, plus Children's Selections. Red heart symbols mark selections lower in saturated fat and cholesterol.

A great piece of Air Force Reserve base life and Pittsburgh aviation history, with period menu prices printed throughout.
