An original vintage snapshot of about fifteen young soldiers posed together on and around the wooden steps of a clapboard barracks building. Most wear wool service shirts, a few are in undershirts, and a campaign hat rests in front of the group; the dress and setting appear to be World War I era. About 3.5 x 2.5 inches. Condition: significant damage, with torn and missing corners (especially lower right), edge losses, cracking and creasing through the emulsion, and overall toning.
