About this piece

Linen-finish postcard of The Luray Singing Tower, Luray, Virginia, showing the tall stone carillon tower with its arched belfry openings and red door against a blue sky. Published by Marken & Bielfeld, Inc., Frederick, Md., with the MB logo; card number 99 on the front and code 8A-H220 on the back. Standard size, about 3.5 x 5.5 inches, divided back. Unposted and unwritten, in good used condition with light corner and edge wear.

The back caption reads: "This 117-foot tower contains a 47-bell Carillon and is a memorial to Belle Brown Northcott. It has been endowed in perpetuity and regular recitals are given throughout the year by a competent Carrillonneur."

A nice Shenandoah Valley piece for Virginia, carillon and bell tower collectors.
