About this piece

Linen-finish postcard showing the Aggie "A" emblem of the Colorado State College of Agriculture on the foothills just west of Ft. Collins, Colorado. Card number 2299, published by Sanborn Souvenir Co., Denver, Colo., with the "C.T. Art-Colortone" imprint on the divided back. Standard size, about 3.5 x 5.5 inches. Posted in 1950; general handling wear with light corner and edge wear, visible linen texture lines, and handwriting on the back.

Postmarked Dubois, Wyo., Aug 14, 1950, with a green 1 cent Washington stamp. Addressed to Mrs. Jos. F. Grigg, Greenville, Illinois, R#3, and headed "Dubois, Wyo." The writer, signed Nellie, says they are on the way home, will go through Yellowstone Park tomorrow, it is nice and cool there, and they had a nice visit with the kids.

The printed back caption notes the college campus covers many blocks of tree-covered grounds near the southern edge of Ft. Collins. A good piece for Colorado State / Aggies collectors and for travel-message collectors.
