Antique printed view postcard of a quiet, tree-lined stretch of water captioned "Along the Codorus, York, Pa." Published by P. W. S., York, Pa., No. C 11168, Printed in Germany, with number 128313 at lower right. Divided back, standard size about 5.5 x 3.5 inches. Light corner wear with a small scuff at the upper left back corner; front is clean with good color.

The back carries a long pencil message dated "York Pa Aug 26" to "My Dear Mary Esther," signed "Grandmother." She writes that she is well and wishes Mary Esther were there to see the lots of dogs and pick one out, and describes the slick mules with tails trimmed up like feather dusters, gold buttons on their harness, and some nice horses. No stamp, postmark or address, so it appears to have been sent in an envelope or delivered by hand.
