Antique birthday greeting postcard reading "Many Happy Returns of the Day" in gilt script across an embossed open book, with pink roses and a pink bow in a gold embossed basket and a spray of blue forget-me-nots. The book's "To" and "From" lines are filled in by hand in pencil with initials. Divided back with a fancy "Post Card" heading and "Place Stamp Here, Domestic One Cent, Foreign Two Cents" box. Standard 3.5 x 5.5 inch size. Condition: used, with light corner wear, darker toning at the four corners of the back (likely old album mounts), and a small spot or two.

Never mailed: no stamp, postmark or address. The purple pencil message on the back reads "Your Aunt Mary Burton, Salem, Ohio, Jan 31st 1909." The front is inscribed To M.E.B. From M.B.
