Antique "Happy New Year" postcard showing three bearded gnomes in pointed caps leaning over a tiled clock tower: one blows a long golden horn, two wave money bags marked "1000," above a large Roman-numeral clock face with both hands at midnight. Embossed with gold highlights on the clock. Divided back with "Post Card," "This Space For Writing Messages," "This side for the Address only," and a stamp box reading "Domestic One Cent, Foreign Two Cents." Standard size, about 5.5 x 3.5 inches. Condition: light corner and edge wear with a small corner ding at upper right; unposted.

Addressed in ink only to "Mary Esther," with a sideways signature on the message side that is hard to read. No stamp or postmark, so it appears to have been hand delivered.
