About this piece
Vintage souvenir card captioned "Old Liberty Bell, Philadelphia, Pa.," with a color-tinted view of the cracked bell on its wooden yoke and carved stand. The back is printed in blue with a Liberty Bell in each corner, crossed flags and a wreath, and the text: "Liberty Bell, in Independence Hall on Chestnut and Fifth Streets, proclaimed liberty throughout the country after the Declaration of Independence signed July 4th, 1776. Silent since 1843." About 2.8 x 3.5 inches. Used condition with a string remnant through a small hole at the upper left edge, corner wear and toning.
The string suggests it was once tied into a souvenir set or booklet. A small number appears at the lower right of the image.
Nice for Liberty Bell, Philadelphia and patriotic Americana collectors.
