About this piece

Antique undivided-back postcard of the Congregational Church, Ritzville, Wash., published by Curt Teich & Co., Chicago (card no. 4188). Black-and-white printed view of the shingled church with its crenellated bell tower, stained glass windows and stone foundation. Standard size, about 3.5 x 5.5 inches. Used condition with light corner and edge wear and mild toning; postally used.

The back is the undivided "Post Card - Nothing but the address on this side" style with the Teich monogram at lower left. It carries a green 1c Franklin stamp (Series 1902) and a Washington circular postmark dated 1907, and is addressed in ink to Mrs. H.C. Smith, Tolono, Illinois. No message.

A nice early small-town church view from eastern Washington for church, Teich or Washington State collectors.
