Printed color postcard titled "3827. Seven Church Spires, Des Moines, Ia." published expressly for the F.W. Woolworth Co. The elevated street view shows a skyline of church towers and steeples, including a Gothic church with a rose window and clock tower, brick and stone churches, and houses and storefronts in the foreground under a sunset sky. Divided back, standard 3.5 x 5.5 in, unposted, with an ink inscription dated Apr 19, 1914. Good vintage condition with corner and edge wear, light creasing at the edges, surface rubbing and toning.
Front caption: "3827. Seven Church Spires, Des Moines, Ia." Back imprint: "Pub. Expressly for The F W. Woolworth Co." with stamp box reading "Place Stamp Here, Domestic One Cent, Foreign Two Cents."
Ink inscription on back reads "Harrold Handling" (as it reads) and "Apr 19-1914," plus small pencil notations. No stamp or postmark. A good multi-church view for Des Moines, Iowa and church architecture collectors.
