About this piece
Lot of 12 original vintage color photographs believed taken during a circa-1970s visit to Jinju, South Korea. Identifiable views include Jinjuseong Fortress/Jinju Castle, Chokseongnu Pavilion, Uigisa Shrine honoring Nongae, a Jinju Castle tourist map, the Namgang River, the old Jinju Bridge, riverbank activity, and a local street/business scene. Several images show residents gathered in the shallow river, possibly washing or working, providing an uncommon view of everyday life as well as well-known historic sites.
