Vintage Texaco Farm Notebook and Manual of Many Useful Facts, Harvest Gold, revised edition, issued by The Texas Company. Pocket size, about 4.1 x 6.1 inches, with the red cornucopia cover and Texaco star logo, and 1941 and 1942 calendars on the back cover marked "Printed in U.S.A. 1-41." Used condition with worn, rounded corners, staining and soiling on the covers, and toned pages.

Inside front cover is a color ad, "It Pays to Use an Insulated Oil," for Insulated Havoline and Texaco Motor Oil, followed by a foreword from The Texas Company introducing the revised edition. The index lists tractor service and storage hints, a lubrication guide, a tractor recommendation chart, a tractor service record, safety rules for tractor operation, field planting schedules, a gestation table, interest table, commodity weights and measures, first aid, Marfak, Thuban and Valor products, and "What Farmers Say About Texaco." Page 3 opens with a Tractor Expert's "Ten Easy Steps for a Smooth Spring Start."

The back cover reads "It's Always a Good Day with Texaco" and "Call the Texaco Man for immediate delivery," with the dealer box left blank. A nice piece of prewar farm and gas and oil advertising.
