About this piece
Original commencement program for the Fullerton Union High School Class of 1949, held Thursday afternoon, June 16, 1949, in the High School Stadium. Single folded sheet, about 6.3 x 9.7 inches. Light toning, small spots and minor edge wear.
Inside is the full order of exercises, with Marcia Lou LaMonte's valedictory address and music by the High School and Junior College Orchestra, plus a three-column list of every candidate for a diploma, with honor-roll and California Scholarship Federation members marked.
The back lists the district (Buena Park, Fullerton, La Habra, Orangethorpe and Yorba Linda), the Board of Trustees, class officers Bill DeLand, Cruz Reynoso, Joy Hansen and Dean Erickson, and the class advisers.
A great genealogy and Orange County school-history piece.
