Original November 7, 1885 issue of The Ohio Practical Farmer, published at Cleveland, Ohio (Vol. LXVIII, No. 19, Whole No. 1864), under its large engraved farmyard masthead with cattle, sheep, pigs and poultry. About 10.6 x 16.1 inches. Condition: toned newsprint with edge chips and small tears, a horizontal fold, light staining, and a small yellow paper label with handwriting across the masthead.

The front page is almost entirely illustrated livestock sale ads: a Grand Public Sale of Imported Holstein-Friesian Cattle by French Brothers at the Exposition Buildings in Cincinnati, an 80-head Maplewood Herd Holstein auction at Chicago, a Merino sheep sale west of Greenwich in Huron County, Ohio, plus Jerseys, Poland-China and Chester White swine, Ayrshires, Shorthorns, and a Wendling Cattle and Land Co. of Colorado stock offering.

Page 304 is a full page of engraved farm and household ads: H.C. Staver Implement Co. of Chicago, the New Buckeye Mill and Horse Power, the Enterprise Meat-Chopper of Philadelphia, Gombault's Caustic Balsam, Epps's Cocoa, the Montgomery Ward & Co. Buyers' Guide, saw mills, feed mills, fanning mills, Scotch Collie pups and more.
