Antique Birthday Greetings postcard with embossed pink and red wild roses on a thorny branch over a small pastel inset of a lake shoreline. Divided back with the multi-language Carte Postale / Postkarte / Post card heading, marked "Made in Germany. Ser. 541." Standard 3.5 x 5.5 inch size, vertical format. Condition: used, with edge and corner wear, a small chip and short crease at lower left, and some foxing spots on the back.

The back carries a green 1 cent Franklin stamp with a light pen or handstamp mark across it but no readable postmark, and no address. It is inscribed in ink "Mary Esther from Ralph Zimmerman," suggesting it was hand-delivered or sent in an envelope.

From a family correspondence group to Mary Esther; a pretty Golden Age floral birthday card with good embossing.
