About this piece
An early embossed Easter postcard reading "Easter Greeting," showing a little girl in a ruffled pink dress and flower-trimmed straw hat watering a row of potted flowering topiaries with a pink and green watering can. A verse at the upper right reads: "Dear flowers, how did you know 'Twas time to bloom? 'Dear child' the Master cries, 'Ye shall arise.'" Standard size, about 5.5 x 3.5 inches, with a divided back. Used condition with light edge and corner wear and a pencil inscription along the bottom of the front.
The front is inscribed in pencil "Jan 31st 1910 Rupert." The back is unused, with no message, address, stamp, or postmark. The back carries a shield-shaped "AMP Co" publisher monogram between "Post" and "Card."
A charming child-themed religious Easter greeting with crisp embossing, from the early divided-back era.
