Condition: used, with light edge and corner wear, a small ink smudge on the address side, and handwriting on both sides.

The back reads "A Happy Birthday Greeting from your teacher Mabel" and is addressed to Mary Esther Burton, Salem, Ohio, R.R. #5. "Mabel" and a surname that appears to read "Irvine" are signed in pencil on the front below the image.

B.B. London is generally attributed to Birn Brothers, a London greeting-card and postcard publisher of the early 1900s. A sweet teacher-to-pupil birthday card from a family correspondence group sent to Mary Esther Burton.
