The text explains the organ was a gift of the Howard Heinz Endowment, designed by Russell G. Wichmann of Chatham College and Robert S. Lord of the University of Pittsburgh with Victor I. Zuck of M. P. Möller, one of the few organs in the United States with two consoles, installation completed October 1970. It has 3,954 pipes in seventy ranks across seven divisions, with wrought iron grilles by Samuel Yellin.
Full stoplists are printed for the Chancel Organ (Great, Swell, Choir and Pedal) and the Gallery Organ (Hauptwerk, Oberwerk and Pedal), with pitches and pipe counts for every stop.
A great reference piece for pipe organ enthusiasts, organists, Möller collectors and Pitt/Pittsburgh history.
