Vintage postcard titled "Minnesota's State Bird," showing a pair of loons swimming on still green water beneath reflected pines, signed in the image by wildlife artist Les Kouba. Standard size, about 3.5 x 5.5 inches, unused. Condition is good: clean front with light corner wear; the back has some light toning and small brown spots.

The back reads: "Chosen by Minnesota's Legislature in 1961, the Loon becomes the official state bird. This scene of a pair of Loons is from the original canvas painted and presented to the State of Minnesota by Minnesota's famed wildlife artist Les Kouba." Copyright 1961, Northern Minn. Novelties, 48012-B. Pub. by Northern Minnesota Novelties, Crosslake, Minnesota, with an "Authentic Minnesota Scene" logo, D-4. Made by Dexter, West Nyack, N.Y.

A nice piece for loon, bird art, wildlife art and Minnesota collectors.
