About this piece

Antique printed postcard captioned in red "Methodist Church, Chanute, Kans.," Miller's Views No. 26. The blue-toned view shows the brick church with its open belfry tower, arched stained glass windows and stone foundation, with houses and a dirt street beside it. Standard size, about 3.5 x 5.5 inches. Used condition: unposted, with light corner and edge wear, overall toning, and a pink stain at the left edge of the front.

The back is divided, with "This space is reserved for message" running vertically, "Post Card" in ornate brown lettering, and a stamp box listing domestic, possessions, Canadian and Mexican 1c and foreign 2c rates. No stamp, postmark, message or address.

An early southeast Kansas church view for Methodist, Neosho County or Kansas town collectors.
