Original vintage real photo (continuous-tone silver gelatin print, not a printed halftone) depicting a hillside residential neighborhood in the Los Angeles hills, California. The view looks down over a sloped street lined with early homes and rooftops, surrounded by trees, brush, and steep hillside terrain, with the wider city and hazy skyline visible in the background. Photo has a scalloped/deckled white border typical of the period.

Dating evidence: stamped "VELOX" on the reverse, a paper brand used by Kodak roughly 1907–1929; exact date within that range not otherwise confirmed.
