About this piece
Lot of 25 vintage color snapshots (3.5x5 prints), the majority bearing matching 1974 photo-lab date stamps on the borders, documenting a young man and his circle of friends/family through a mid-1970s year: birthday/holiday gift-opening, casual living-room gatherings, a locker-room scene with a Coca-Gola can, beach outings with mid-rise resort buildings (possibly Gulf Coast), and quiet domestic moments (rotary phone hallway, console TV, mushroom lamp and lawn-chair decor typical of the era). One photo shows a name, 'JOHN E. REID,' visible on a book/binder spine, and another shows a paperback titled 'The Officer's Guide,' hinting at a military household connection. All photos show the characteristic pink/magenta color shift of 1970s Kodak-era prints; several are faded or soft-focus (quality varies frame to frame, noted individually). No rounded corners; plain white lab borders with printed date stamps on most. A cohesive, candid slice of American home life circa 1974 with recurring subjects and settings, well suited as a themed lot or mini-archive. Associated with the estate of USAF Col. Patricia Jane Harrington. Please review photos for condition.
